Remote beaches, sand dunes, estuaries, coastal forests, grasslands and waterfalls cascading off steep cliffs. WHAT TO EXPECT FOR PONDO 2011

CATERING

STAGE 1

Breakfast, Lunch and Supper will be provided. Coffee Tea, Milo, Milk,Condiments, Fruit Juices and Bar snacks will be permanently available for you. Bread is also available for those who enjoy taking sandwiches on the day's stage. All sandwich ingredients are also available for you to make your own sandwiches for every day's stage! Don't forget to make your own sandwiches for the first stage before you leave home!
Casino - Luphatana
Meet at the Wild Coast Sun Petrol Station 6.30am!
Time on bikes: approximately 8 hours
Stage 1 Distance: 65km
Destination: Luphatna Log Cabins

STAGE 2


Luphatana - Manteku
Time on bikes: approximately 6 hours
Stage 2 Distance: 37km
Destination: Manteku Cabins

WHAT TO BRING?

STAGE 3

All your own drinks, energy supplements, clothes, bedding, toiletries and money for supplies on the way if you run short. Puncture repair kits, lubricants, spare chain and tube, paraffin for the rust factor, paint brush and petrol for the sea sand in the chain and gears. Dura Cycles will be taking afew of the larger items should you have a major problem with your bike (this will be something that you would not normally carry for running repairs) which you can pay for should you require anything.
Manteku - Port St John's
Time on bikes: approximately 5 hours
Stage 3 Distance: 40km
Destination: Port St Johns Spotted Grunter Nature Reserve

Arriving at Port St Johns at 12h00 noon, we will be booked in for Sunday evening at the Spotted Grunter nature reserve, leaving after breakfast on the Monday morning. Should anyone like their family to join them on the Sunday evening please contact us urgently so we can book extra space at the Spotted Grunter. We have booked for 30 at this stage however it is imperative that we know the numbers soonest so we can firm up with them. You will be required to find your own way home from the Spotted Grunter. We can arrange for the Margate Mini Coach to collect 21 people and your bikes at a cost of R400.00 each. You will need to contact us on the numbers below.
